Manager, Client Accounting Services

With extensive experience and a passion for impactful, purpose-driven work, Alicia brings a dynamic blend of expertise and enthusiasm to our team.
Alicia’s accounting journey began at university, where she expanded her love of learning to helping others by tutoring peers and engaging in community volunteer work, laying the foundation for a career defined by community and impact.
Starting with an internship that swiftly turned into a full-time role in audit, Alicia gained early exposure to the intricacies of financial oversight. Her work with Audit New Zealand provided invaluable experience in public sector audit, impact reporting, and direct community engagement.
Seeking broader horizons, Alicia joined KPMG in the Cayman Islands, navigating the complex world of international asset management, business advisory and insolvency accounting. Her move to Vancouver then allowed her to delve deeper into Canadian regulations and industry-specific challenges, further honing her expertise. Alicia then transitioned into a Financial Controller role for a high net-worth Canadian family and managed a large portfolio of entities, including Canadian charities, showcasing her versatility across Canadian industries.
Realizing she missed the impactful work she enjoyed when in New Zealand, Alicia made the move to work with Humanity Financial – marking a return to values-aligned, purpose-driven projects where she can truly make a difference.
Living in Victoria, B.C., Alicia is an avid traveler and backpacker, with a deep love for the water—whether she’s near it, on it, or in it. Her dream job is to be a philanthropist, advocating for education and breaking cycles of poverty. Her volunteer efforts, including volunteer teaching in Thailand, reflect her commitment to creating positive change.

I am a lifelong learner and love the challenging, unpredictable and thought-provoking work we do at Humanity Financial.
