Humanity Financial leads with love, disrupts with purpose, and holds itself radically accountable. Every certification on this page is evidence of that: earned independently, maintained actively, and aligned with the same values that guide every client relationship.
Humanity Financial did not earn a B Impact Score of 115.3 because it was good for business. It did not become the first accounting firm in Canada to incorporate as a Benefit Company because it was a smart move. These things happened because the values were already there.
Choosing a financial partner means choosing carefully. Every certification below was earned through independent assessment against defined standards. Not purchased, not affiliated, not performative.
This is what it looks like when an accounting firm means what it says.
Independently assessed against defined criteria by third parties. Each one renewed and actively maintained. Not set and forgotten.
First CPA firm in western Canada to earn B Corp status. First accounting firm in Canada to become a Benefit Company. These are not coincidences.
These certifications are not affiliations or memberships. Each one was earned through independent assessment against defined standards, and each one is actively maintained.
Humanity Financial earned a B Impact Score of 115.3, more than double the median of 50.9 for ordinary businesses. The first CPA firm in western Canada, and only the second in the country, to achieve this certification.
A formal legal change to the firm’s corporate structure. Not a badge or a certification. Binding every future leader to the same mission of purpose alongside profit.
Humanity Financial holds formal carbon neutral certification from Offsetters. Through verified carbon offsets, the firm actively supports the Great Bear Forest Carbon Project.
Certified based entirely on anonymous employee feedback. A reflection of the culture Humanity Financial has built: one where people feel trusted, valued, and connected to work that matters.
The Caring Company designation recognizes Canadian businesses demonstrating meaningful commitment to their communities. Humanity Financial is proud to be among them.
Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations. Bronze level certification from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business, recognizing Humanity Financial’s commitment to meaningful Indigenous partnerships.
Humanity Financial’s vision has always included enabling Indigenous financial self-determination, supporting nation builders with generational mindsets and a focus on the future. In June 2025, that vision took a concrete form: a Memorandum of Understanding co-signed with CPABC, AFOA BC, and MST ETS to develop an Accounts Payable Program piloted within the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh communities. The program creates direct pathways to entry-level accounting roles for underemployed or unemployed Indigenous individuals. This is not a partnership announcement. It is our manifesto, made real.
Beyond certifications, Humanity Financial and its co-founder have received peer recognition for leadership that goes beyond the balance sheet.
These are not lifetime achievement awards for doing the minimum. They are peer recognitions, from within Canada’s accounting profession, for work that reflects what Humanity Financial believes an accounting firm can and should be.
As a Benefit Company, we are required to report annually on our social and environmental performance. We go further: every report is independently assessed and publicly available. Four consecutive years of transparent reporting for the nonprofits, charities, First Nations, and Indigenous-led communities we serve across Canada
