Our Manifesto
Our Manifesto is our compass and North Star. It guides and informs the decisions that we make, how we work with clients, and what we do. It also sets a strong foundation for a vibrant and cohesive organizational culture that continues to attract values-aligned talent.
We have heard of many stereotypes to describe accountants: bean counters, excel wizards, audit aces, or number crunchers. While it’s true that accountants are meticulous and love a great spreadsheet, we at Humanity Financial know that we are so much more.
Over a three-day period in 2021, the entire team came together to explore a number of deeply personal questions. We had conversations about our personal ‘whys’ including what motivates and inspires us, what behaviours are most important to us, and what we love to do. As we put the pieces together, we learned that while we may be accountants, we view things in an unconventional way.
We take tremendous pride in being creative, because through this skill, we find breakthrough solutions, systems, models, and blueprints. But our real delight comes when we can offer these solutions to others.
In other words: our highest purpose is to serve and inspire others. And given this calling, we approach our work with great love and care.
From our vision of the future, our Manifesto was born – it was bold, outrageous, and took our collective breath away.
- What if we could enable and accelerate the shift in the balance of power to nation builders and change makers who could make this land the most environmentally, socially, and economically equitable place on earth?
- What if we could galvanize more activist accountants to lead a revolution in financial strategy that places the actualization of purpose-driven organizations, front and centre? Measuring true value creation is about accounting beyond the numbers: setting goals that support communities to be more socially just, economically inclusive, and environmentally sustainable.
