Chris Cels

He / Him

Consulting CFO

Chris has spent nearly 25 years providing accounting, consulting, and executive leadership services to corporate, non-profit, and Indigenous organizations.

Starting his career with MNP and then moving to BDO, Chris held increasingly senior roles implementing and integrating financial, CRM, HRM, and other software systems, and assisting clients with business process improvement and change management projects across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean.

His greatest personal rewards come from witnessing the success of others — whether it’s colleagues achieving project milestones, mentees reaching their potential, clients experiencing tangible improvements within their organizations following a major initiative, or the positive impact an organization can have on a community after undergoing a transformative change.
Chris lives in Brandon, Manitoba with his wife and their two sons. Rounding out the household is Emma, their miniature golden doodle and Harley, their foster-fail black lab. They also regularly welcome puppies from a local rescue organization. Chris is actively involved in his kids’ sports activities as a coach and team manager, and enjoys travel, golf, and CrossFit.

Being at Humanity calls to mind the difference between “nice” and “kind” – kindness is intentional and runs deep and underlies our actions. The reward from working with our team, a team that cares deeply about the impact we’re making for our clients, is immeasurable.
